unfinished

ssure its mostly for style reasons, but in this case, because the face is colored and nothing else. and the arms arent drawn. well it just looks unfinished. i really really dont like the blur you put on the hair, try not to use smudge brush in that way next time.

is that a word past legendary. hmm i love the coloring and background. not thecoloring on the characters so much tho. and the guy looks really weird in the face. is he not in to it or what?? and theres alot of little sand dunes there. but good work. only thing to focus on more is your character art!

what i like

is your hand coloring. matches the feel of these old toons but. the picture itslef is lacking other things like a background. astro boy looks to big for goku's size. other than that i think its funny. the type in the corner throws it off. try a different font or hand write it for bettereffect

coloring

so you said it was a test. but i think these colors are very stale. drawing and pose are good however. i like the clothes too. the coloring actually ruins alot of the value here tho

well

youve pointed out your flaws which is good. so not much to say except, the way the character is standing doesnt make sense with the background. i dont know if the tree is suppose to be that small, but it doesnt look like he's leaning on it. more like hes going to fall sideways for lack of support. i think his leg needs to be more behind him to look like its on the tree

you should work on the art style. it isnt the painting style that makes this look bad. its the base art. awkward positioning of the left leg and right arm are things that throw he picture off. not the coloring. i think your coloring is better than your art
